PURGE: Band Poster

My first official project for Photoshop II: design a concert poster
for a fictional band whose name is inspired by a Photoshop tool.
I had you all vote for the name, and while Render was definitely
one of my favorites, I picked Purge because it sounded more like
a rock band's name, something I could add a lot of grunge to, lol.

Purge, I found out, is a very handy Photoshop function. I used it
a lot while making this poster, actually. This is an 11x17 poster
at 300ppi, over 60 MB in size and it was a lot larger before I
rasterized the smart objects. I remember it being over 200 MB
at one time... I had never had Photoshop crash on me until I
started working on this project. What a total mess it was when
I forgot to save consistently. In order to speed things up and
keep my computer from freezing, I would constantly purge the
document's edit history, wiping the document's saved memory
of my previous steps. This helped SO MUCH, I was amazed.
It's the main reason I decided to go with Purge for the name.

So yeah... I know that those wings are from the TV show Angel.
I loved them too much not to use them. And I did vector them
first in Illustrator, so I didn't rip off any specific image really.
Or at least, that's what I'll tell the Feds when they come after
me, lol. Besides, it's a school project and I'm not going to be
making any money off of this. We students can do whatever.

Besides the Victorian-style wallpaper in the background, everything
is brush work, layer styles, blending modes, adjustment layers,
and ton of masks. The total layer count came to about 20.

I'm really happy with this and don't think I'll be changing anything,
but I would like some honest critique just so I know what I can
improve on or do differently. Thanks in advance for your input!
