I know that I haven't uploaded anything in months (you can thank college for that), but I couldn't resist this contest! I do realize that I probably won't win, but I loved my Halloween costume so much that I had to share it with you all.
As you can probably guess, I went as a werewolf, lol. The costume was inspired by the movie Dog Soldiers, which is one of my very favorite werewolf movies. I've always wanted to do something like this and I finally did!
The outfit is clothing purchased from Good Will and then royally trashed by yours truly. I bought fake blood and flung it onto the fabric and then smeared on brown make-up to make it look dirty. I even ripped the sleeves off the camo shirt.
You can't see in this picture (unfortunately), but there are claw slashes in my jeans and bloody gashes behind them. For those, I just used Prismacolor markers to draw fake wounds on my leg, haha. They actually turned out pretty realistic.
Besides doing things myself, I also went the extra mile and ordered yellow contacts from FourEyez.com, which I highly recommend. Free shipping and prescription options! The name of the contact style was actually Avatar, like the Na'vi.
The other item I purchased was a set of veneers, which were really nice for being the cheap, Halloween store variety. I also found a caveman necklace and cut off one of the fake fangs so I could make my own 'werewolf tooth' necklace.
Other than that, the rest is make-up. I had a set of AWESOME pointed nails that I had hand-painted brown and beige with acrylics, but the adhesive didn't work so I had to go without them... but I still won Scariest Costume at the party!
Yesterday, I wore all of this to class and freaked a few people out with the eyes. Some people didn't understand what I was dressed as; some guessed zombie, others vampire, and one even guessed mummy. XD What do you think I look like?
I hope everyone had a great Halloween! Comment and tell me what you went as, I'd love to hear or even see.
PS: No photomanipulation here! Just make-up and effects with minor color/contrast adjustments in Photoshop.
